About the Authors
Jan Symington first enrolled in a nail technology course in 1986 and was soon running her own successful nail salon. Jan then trained Nail Technicians at Petersham TAFE for 6 years. During her teaching years at TAFE, Jan was responsible for course co-ordination, lesson planning and writing learner guides. She is the successful author of Australian Nail Technology.
Karen Peppercorn has been part of the Australian beauty industry for over 25 years, in many roles including Nail Technician, salon owner and owner of a nail and beauty supply business: GNB Salon Supplies. Karen is President of the Australian Professional Fingernail Association (APFA) and travels extensively around Australia helping technicians become APFA certified technicians and training providers become APFA certified. Karen is also a regular contributor to industry magazines.
